Before Delivery

Delivery of goods should take place on the first day of rental. We would recommend delivery at least 2 working days before the beginning of your event. This will provide ample time to rectify any delivery problems and ensure that the goods arrive on time. We will not be held liable for rental items not arriving in good time for your event due to circumstances out of our control (ie courier delays), however we will do our best to rectify any issues that may occur.

Please advise us of any special instructions for delivery in good time prior to dispatch. Any detailed instructions that are required for the courier should be provided to us as early as possible, so that we can pass them on and ensure an efficient delivery of your rental items.

Delivery

Please be aware that we cannot specify a delivery time on your first day of rental. Please ensure that someone is on the premises at all times. If the goods have not arrived by 1pm on the day of delivery, please contact us as soon as possible.

The courier will deliver to the location specified in the order. Please be aware that they will only deliver to the main entrance of the location, and may notprovide further assistance with transporting goods to their destination inside.

Set Up/During Event

Please take great care when opening the boxes that the goods are supplied in, as these will need to be re-used to return the goods to us when the rental period is over. Please cut any tape or strapping carefully with a knife and do not tear the boxes. Replacement boxes will be billed at £4 ex VAT per item.

Please take care of the goods and do not place them in damp or wet areas, or in areas where they may be exposed to adverse weather conditions. We reserve the right to charge the full cost of any goods that are returned to us in poor/damaged condition as a result of misuse or negligence.

Upon arrival, the plants may need “dressing” or “shaping” having travelled in a condensed state to the location. You will need to complete this action to achieve the best appearance of the plants. Please contact us if you require any assistance with this.

Please note that the goods are the responsibility of the hirer from the point that they are delivered up until the point that they are collected by the courier. Losses or damage that occurs during this period may be charged in full to the hirer.

Post Event/Collection

When the event is over, please repack and seal the plants in the original packaging in which they arrived. Do not worry about the plastic strapping that may have been used on the original delivery, but please make sure that the boxes are sufficiently sealed to ensure safe transport via the courier back to us. For larger items, please ensure that packaging is no more than 3 metres long due to courier restrictions. Charges may be raised by the courier for items that are poorly packaged, and in such event these will be passed on to the hirer.

Collection will be requested for the final date of your rental period. Please be advised that this date is not a guaranteed service. We also cannot guarantee a time of collection – so the goods must be available to collect between 8:30am and 5:30pm. If the courier arrives and the goods are not available or no-one is in, then a failed collection charge of £15.00 + VAT will be charged to the hirer. Goods will need to be retained on location until collected by the courier. We will not be held liable for delayed collection. Any damage/loss/disposal as a result of this will be charged to the hirer. We recommend that you get a signature of the driver at time of collection which will pass responsibility to the courier provided they receive the goods in perfect condition.
